Declan is the Managing Director of Carten Controls Ltd, Waterford site in Ireland, and serves on our Board of Directors. With over 25 years’ experience in semiconductor and pharmaceutical industries, while representing both Carten and our parent company Fujikin within global organisations (such as ASME BPE), Declan is a data & results driven, self-motivated, and resourceful managing director with the ultimate responsibility for leading and growing all sectors of our business, ensuring our vision is fulfilled. Declan has earned multiple academic qualifications in Engineering, Business, Lean Manufacturing, Quality Assurance, and most recently an MSc in Biopharmaceutical Science.
Rebecca is the Commercial Director at Carten, Ireland. She is responsible for leading the core commercial activities, defining, creating, and executing the commercial strategies. She ensures that Carten’s sales, business, market development, and marketing functions are strategically aligned to market demands, developments, and requirements of customers residing in multiple industries.
Joining Carten back in 2012, Rebecca was initially tasked with assessing the viability of Fujikin’s Multi-Use Technology product solutions in the European Bioprocessing Market. Since then, she has held multiple positions within Carten, mostly in Sales, Business Development, and Marketing. With her extensive knowledge of Carten’s product range, market developments, and customers in the Semiconductor and Biotechnology sectors.
Rebecca holds an MBSI in Internationalisation (SETU), a Master of Science in International Business (France Business School) and a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing. She is a member of ISPE (Ireland Affiliate) and represents Carten in the AMSE BPE SUT Pinch Valve Task Group.
Mark is the Technology and Development Director in Carten Controls with responsibility for Research and Development, Capital projects, Project Management, Continuous Improvement and Maintenance. Mark has held a number of roles in Carten across Engineering, Quality and also as Strategic Account Manager. Mark also spent a number of years working in the medical device and pharmaceutical industries and held various positions in Lean Manufacturing, Project Co-ordination and lead roles in Operations, Maintenance and Engineering. Mark holds a Master’s Degree in Computer Integrated Manufacturing (CIM) from the University of Limerick.
Sean Cooney is Carten’s Finance & IT director and company secretary. Sean joined Carten Controls in 2022, and is responsible for financial governance and controls, reporting, and business systems.
Sean is a Chartered Global Management Accountant (CIMA) with extensive experience in different industry sectors having worked in senior finance roles with multinational organisations operating in agribusiness, pharmaceuticals, and FMCG.
Sean holds a master’s degree in Lean Enterprise Excellence from the South East Technological University (SETU) and is an advocate for business excellence within the company.
Lisa is our HR, Training & Compliance Director, she is responsible for developing and leading the organisations HR, recruitment, training & development, and compliance strategies. Lisa is passionate about people development and looking at organizational and external trends ensuring the organisation employs best practice in all areas.
Prior to joining Carten in 2021, she worked for over 12 years in the outsourcing and offshore industry and a further 5 years between pharmaceuticals, consultancy, and finance. Lisa holds a BA (Hons) in Human Resource Management with further studies in employment law, project management, and executive & professional coaching. Lisa is currently in her second year of a MSc.in Work and Organisational Behaviour in University of Limerick.
